ABOUT US

Trench Health and Fitness have been providing fitness and coaching services together with comprehensive corporate health assessments and programs since 1993, with founder and Managing Director; Peter Trench at its helm. Over this time Peter has built an enviable reputation as one of WA’s leading multi sport coaches and corporate health specialists. 

Something for everyone...

The Trench Health and Fitness slogan innovation, connection, motivation encapsulates Peter's vision to improve the health and wellbeing and/or sporting performance of anyone keen to pursue their goal; so while the initial focus of Trench Health and Fitness might have been very much in the corporate market where unique and personalised services were made available to a range of companies big and small; innovation, connection and motivation were all in motion.  The scope was soon broadened to include both the general public seeking health and wellness solutions and athletes wanting to get the edge. As a former professional athlete, Peter has excelled, representing Australia three times in the sport of triathlon in the 90's, as well as being inducted into the Australian Triathlon Association Roll of Honour in 1993. Many of the lessons he has learnt as a professional  athlete are transferable and have inspired and enabled him to innovate, connect and motivate. It comes as no surprise that in 2006 Peter received a 40 under 40 Award as well as being nominated as WA Person of the Year in 2019 and Community Hero in 2020, which recognises his business leadership and commercial achievement in WA.

While the benefits of exercise are indisputable - knowing HOW to train to maximise the benefits isn't so straight forward - since every individual is different with varying needs, capabilities and goals. That is why Trench Health has Accredited Exercise Physiologists training clients. You are in safe and professional hands and can feel confident that you'll get the results you want under the guidance of a professional team.

Measuring and Monitoring

On your journey to improved health and wellness, or improved sporting performance - it's always good to have baseline measurements and then to see how these change as you improve your training and your diet. Our range of available assessments  which include the gold standard, body composition tool - the DEXA scan, a resting metabolic rate measurement (RMR) and a VO2max test, are worth looking into, since they might be just what you need to keep the motivation levels high as you work towards your goal. ​
