Info for New Members
Getting started on your new program isn't hard. Before we let you loose in the gym, we like to be sure you have a suitable program for your goals and limitations and know how to use the equipment correctly and safely.
Your introduction to the gym will generally follow this procedure:
- We issue your membership card or visit card and schedule a time for your fitness appraisal.
- We make a booking for your first workout.
- Considering your fitness appraisal and goals, a program is designed for you.
- You come in for your first workout and we show you through your new program.
- A follow up booking can be made after this if needed and then you are on your way.
Nothing too tough so far. After this, you don't sail off into the sea of the unknown. Instructors are available to ask questions, supervise you if you're having trouble, show some alternatives or re-assess your program if you're not making any progress.
You can then take advantage of regular fitness appraisals (up to 1/month) and we can re-design programs on your request.
You'll find the gym staff will get to know you and your needs, and unlike many gyms, don't forget about you after you're shown through the program.
